Sally took to the spectacular Alps with British Marathon Champion, Ben Thomas, for the 7-day Transalp, a race she had previously won 4 times.
Starting in Imst (Austria), travelling through Switzerland and finishing in Arco, Lake Garda (Italy), Sally and Ben covered 520kms and climbed a total of 18,000m. After ascending some of the most awesome mountain passes, winding through wild mountain forests and traversing trails along the edge of turquoise mountain lakes, they arrived at the finish as overall winners in the Mixed category. This victory makes Sally a 5x winner of “a race which has pushed me to my limits and seen me climb back on my bike day after day despite overwhelming fatigue and doubt if another day was even possible! Looking back on these 5 victories fills me with pride and incredible memories that will last my lifetime”.
Throughout the race, Sally was fuelled by 1.5kg of TORQ Energy Drink, 35 TORQ Gels, 14 TORQ Chews and 700g of TORQ Recovery.
