After setting a new PB and winning four silver medals at the Masters National Track Champs in Newport, Lou heads home to Edinburgh, but ends up in Gloucester hospital instead…

On the Sunday afternoon, having won my fourth silver medal at the Masters National Track Championships, I decided to head home to Edinburgh rather than race the points race.  

Louise Haston digs really deep and performs incredibly well at the Masters National Track Championships despite feeling (and subsequently confirmed she was) very ill indeed…

Training had been going really well leading up to the Masters, we had a trial run at one of the Scottish Cycling sessions the week before and I managed two personal bests, one in the flying 200TT and one in the 500TT, so the indications were excellent and I was really looking forward to the Masters National Track Champs in Newport. 

After 6 rounds of the Midlands XC Series, in a race season that seems to have flown by, 4 riders from the TORQ MTB Team headed to the 7th and final round of the Series at the picturesque Dudmaston Hall, a 17th Century Country House and Estate in Shropshire, with the series titles all at stake. 

TORQ Fuelled Mountain Bike Marathon racer Sally Bigham heads to the USA for her 4th Leadville 100, the infamous 100 Mile, high altitude mountain bike race. 

Iain Robertson took part in the Alpe d’huez Triathlon, which has been won by some of the biggest names in the sport, including the unbeaten World Ironman Champion Chrissie Wellington.

There are many reasons why this Series is such fun and the Fourth round of the 2015 Series, in Reading, was a great reminder that there are some fantastic people within the cycling community and I feel lucky to enjoy some great friendships through my sport. 

Yet another TORQ team member receives an Overall Age Group win at the British Triathlon Championships. 

We bring two very contrasting race reports from the UK’s premier big one; Eleanor Haresign has been successfully racing hard on the long distance scene this season. 

Eton Dorney was again my first race of the season, and at 10km, I wanted to be fully charged and ready to go. 

Despite the last 2 months’ worth of Grant’s training being predominantly focused towards 5-10km speed work, it was decided that The Prudent Riverside 10 mile, would provide a perfect bench mark as a fitness check and confidence boost before starting specific training for The Great North Run. 

Not content with watching the race, Iain Robertson grasped the opportunity to add another win to his name. 

The European Championships is a qualification race with a limited field, which ensures the standards are very high.
