Emma takes on a fun race on the Isle of Bute and claims her second win of the Season…

 

Triathlon number 2 of the Season and it was off on a boat to the Isle of Bute. 

After a dissapointing DNF at the Hardmoors 55 a few weeks earlier, Matty Brennan (along with fellow team mate Tracy Dean) head on up to race the Kielder 50k Ultra with a point to prove. 

Following the Taça de Portugal in Valongo, Seb and Hamish trucked out to Belgium for the World Marathon Series in Houffalize. 

Valongo, on the outskirts of Porto, was the second stop for the Taça de Portugal – the weekend following the British NPS in Plymouth. 

The second round of the British National XC Series moved to the South West and to the iconic venue of Newnham Park (which also hosted rounds of the World Cup in the early ‘90’s), on the outskirts of Plymouth.

I woke up, looked out from the balcony and saw the Mediterranean Sea.

Trying to squeeze XCO races in our hectic schedule isn’t always easy; the last one – a Midlands XC – was just over a year ago. 

Round 2 of the Midlands XC Series was simultaneously this year’s Regional Championships Race, which gave the riders the chance to be crowned with the title of The Midlands Regional Champion. 

The TORQ MTB Team put in some strong performances at the 2nd round of the National XC Series at Newnham Park, Plymouth – one of the most challenging tracks of the Season and a former world cup venue. 

This week, Richard Dunnett, the TORQ Performance MTB Team’s endurance specialist and reigning British Solo 24 Hour Mountain Bike Champion, heads to Finale Ligure on the south coast of Italy for the 2015 European 24hr Solo Championships, in a bid to take the Men’s European 24 Hour Solo title..
