TORQ are proudly the new headline sponsor of an event that caught our imagination some years back, perhaps because it wasn’t too serious? 

After last week’s efforts at the first national XC race of the season, this weekend saw many of the team racing some local XC events, with Ben Thomas taking to the line at round 1 of the Southern XC and myself, Matt Hart and the O’Boyle brothers racing at round 3 of the Welsh XC series.

Emma Ruth Smith gave up a career as a lawyer in Christmas 2009 to live the dream and race the Xterra Global Tour (off-road triathlon), middle/long distance road triathlon races and the British Mountain Bike Race Series. 

TORQ’s talented duathlete Nick Shasha is showing some tremendous form at the moment, he has just finished 2nd at the Saucony 10k at the TCR show beating a number of established professional athletes, in an eye-watering 32minutes.
