Iron Sally Bigham wins a stunning Silver at the World Marathon Championships in Laissac, France. 

Last weekend was one of Sally’s favourite races: Sellaronda Hero MTB Marathon, arguably the world’s hardest mountain bike race, in the heart of the amazing Italian Dolomites. 

It’s been a few weeks since The Col Collective’s last video as they’ve been working hard on a Rocacorba double bill featuring David Millar, a rider that has a significant heritage with this mountain, a stone’s throw off the beautiful Costa Brava, the Pyrénées and the medieval town of Girona, home to many of the world’s professional cyclists for close to two decades. 

After 4 Silver European Championship medals (2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014) there really was only one goal in Sigulda, Latvia last weekend; Sally wanted Gold: Badly.  

Friday 13th May, a beautiful sunny day, saw Sally lining up for the 3 day Belgian Mountainbike Challenge which kicked off in the stunning Ardennes. 

The TORQ Fuelled Whyte Bikes Enduro Team were in action at one of the UK Premier Enduro Races of 2016, the Tweedlove International, Tweed Valley, Scotland, a prime riding destination, attracting a field of some of the world’s best riders, so the team had their work cut out over the 4 days of practice and racing. 

This Thursday (2nd June 2016) TORQ Fuelled, Endurance Cycling Mad Man Josh Ibbett heads to Italy to take on the Tuscany Trail race as part of his training in preparation for his defence of his Trans Continental Title later this year. 

TORQ Fuelled athlete Chris Ward set a new World Record cycling non-stop in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Awareness, from the most northerly to the most southerly points of France, a challenge covering some 1500km…

In addition to setting a new World Record and gaining a great sense of personal achievement, the main motivation for Chris’s ride was to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic life-threatening disease which causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe.
