TORQ Fuelled Kimberley Morrison gave fierce battle against defending champion, Lucy Gossage, at the Ironman70.3 Staffordshire…

Lucy Gossage (GBR) was almost six minutes behind in the water, but everyone knew that she would make up a lot of time later in the day thanks to her bike and run talent. Spectators expected Gossage to take over the lead early on the bike, but it was on Kimberley Morrison (GBR) to show a great ride in the beautiful heart of England. When she reached T2, Gossage was 2:22 behind and Nikki Bartlett (GBR) in third place more than six minutes down. With about 10 kilometres to go in the run, Gossage took over first place, with Kimberley Morrison taking the Silver step on the podium.
