TORQ owner Matt Hart is helping the inspirational William Tan get from Land’s End to John o’Groats in just 9 days on his hand bike with friends Peter and Alan. They are also going the pretty way, averaging over 100 miles per day with quite a few hills to get over. All proceeds go to Bloodwise to fight blood cancer.
Today was much better (couldn’t have been much more challenging than yesterday) and with a prompt 7am start from Okehampton after 4.5 hours sleep, the team arrived in Bath just before 7pm. Not an easy 110 mile day as they had 7,200 ft of climbing, but the sun shone and although it rained a little, having kind weather made a huge difference. There are concerns about tomorrow and Day 3, because it almost certainly looks like they’re going to get wet and they’ll have a side wind at best in unseasonably cold temperatures. Will was a star – setting a furious pace across the Somerset Levels – video footage to follow…
