The Long Good Friday

Maddy took to the line at this historic event and pulled it together for a good finish.

Maddy – The Good Friday Meeting marks the true start of the UK racing season and with a history dating back over 110 years, it rightly claims to be London’s most iconic track meeting. Attracting riders from all over Europe, the Women’s field was at capacity, with 28 starters. Alas, it didn’t start well for me with the Elimination race, but the final Points race was more of a success, as I got in a break from the start. I nearly gained a lap, but my legs had other ideas. Even so I managed to squeeze a 4th place and the positive is that at least it gives me a wide scope for improvement through the season!
