In sub-zero temperatures, Phil Martin makes waves at the Waterside 10Km and takes third place and another PB out of a strong field of 750.

“The post-Christmas 10k run attracted a strong field of 750 runners, who were keen to get a final race in before the end of the year. The sub-zero temperatures (which were made bearable by my Zero Point top) and the monster hill at mile 4 helped to create it a tough race. There was a real battle for a place on the podium.
With a strong kick in the last half a mile, I secured third place and achieved a new 10k PB (in a time of 34:41) in the process.”
