TORQ and Extreme World Challenges have joined forces to provide the energy needs for all the competitors in next years Berghaus Yak Attack
The demanding 200km mountain trail race, that pits trail runner against mountain biker, is already attracting a strong international field to compete alongside the ever growing contingent of Nepali athletes.
Us guys at TORQ have offered to supply all the energy drink and bars for the duration of the race, a commodity that will be especially appreciated by the local athletes, as with an average wage of only $70 pm, nutritional supplementation such as this is usually beyond their means. Extreme World Challenges channel any profit from the event back into financing the entry costs of any participating local athletes and Berghaus have kindly offered to provide quality mountain gear for all local athletes and porters involved in the race.
For otherExtreme World Challenge events, (details of which will follow in future news updates) participants can pre-order their energy requirments from TORQ and as part of their entry fee these can be freighted to the event destination for collection on arrival, saving on excess baggage charges.
Extreme World Challenges and TORQ will be at Twentyfour12 on July 14/15 and will be more than happy to have a chat about any of their listed events or any other related topics. You cant miss them, they’re in a white van with a giant Yak on the bonnet!!
